Taco Bell Haiku
by Seth Madej

Burrito supreme
collapsing like a beached whale
as spork meets ground beef.

Potatoes nosing
from clotted meat like corpses
sprung from profane ground.

Atkins dieter
folds another tortilla
past lips veiled with tears.

Mexican pizza
launched from the boy’s tray splatters.
“Technicolor yawn!”

Resting cheese snakes molt,
dusting a nest of lettuce
with their jaundiced skin.
