In The Weekly Corporate Meeting

Suddenly, the way
the crass woman holds up
her hand, the gentle angle
of palm to wrist, the fourth
finger listing slightly forward,
the usual No, a tentative Yes,
her lips quietly moving -
Buddha’s ageless voice.

Before literally becoming a new yinzer, Don Wentworth cut his lyrical teeth on the hardscrabble Jersey shore. He is the author of two ancient chapbooks, Tenpenny Stamens and The Nostalgia Papers, and his work has appeared in publications as diverse as Bear Creek Haiku, Beatniks from Space, and Rolling Stone. Don is the editor of the Lilliput Review, celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2009.
